After five years as co-founder and CEO in BRIGHT Products, I wrote and published the story in the book "Frykt & Forventning" (Fears and expectations). Based on the book I present this story in a TED Talk format. The talk has been well received and I am also open to presentations abroad.
ABOUT
In 2011 I left a safe job as managing director for the digital advertising agency Apt and started my journey as an entrepreneur. Together with industrial designer Marius Andresen, I founded BRIGHT Products to bring the unique SunBell solar lamp and phone charger from prototype to a global market.
In august 2011 BRIGHT was the first winner of The COMMON Pitch in Boulder, Colorado. With the great help from COMMON, we crafted the vision, mission and values for a unique company.
Our objective was to reach the market of 1,3 billion people who live without access to electricity. Mainly in Sub Sharan Africa, South-East Asia and Latin America. In 2014 we were chosen as a main supplier to the UNHCR, leading to more than two million lamps distributed to refugees across the world.
In 2015 I left my operational role in BRIGHT Products and soon engaged as a mentor, business developer and investor in new startups. Among them BEDD AS, where I serve as working chairman. I have also had the pleasure of working with the accelerator Social Startup, helping social entrepreneurs to succeed with both financial and social results.
Since August 2019 I have signed up as VP Marketing in reMarkable, and will not be able to take on new consulting assignments.
